From the Rocky Mountain News:
The Senate began at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, instead of the usual 9 a.m., prompting suspicion from Sen. Shawn Mitchell, R-Broomfield.
He suggested Senate President Joan Fitz-Gerald, D-Coal Creek Canyon, wanted more time to round up support for controversial sex-abuse bills.
“I don’t believe I’m the person who arrives late every day,” Fitz-Gerald said.
That drew lots of “oooohs” from senators and a hasty apology from the often tardy Mitchell.

Mitchel is such an A-Hole. I would imagine he talks to himself he loves the sound of his own voice so much.
Its not that he is an A-Hole its just that he wants to protect the world for people who believe look, talk, and act like him, and find ways of making it harder for anyone else. He was the person who railed against the bill on making it possible for child victims of sexual assault to sue their perpetrators and the institutions that hid them. He should be ashamed. I understand him to be a devout Mormon. And I know the bible talks of caring for the least of these in society, and surely child victims of sexual assault qualify. Instead he wants to protect the institution of the Catholic Church because the heirarchy tend to support his positions on issues and advocate the way he wants them to. I would also say the Catholic Church’s activities on these bills, and the threats of unelecting people who vote against them comes very close to crossing the line for jeopardizing the institution’s non-profit status.
